KENDALLVILLE, Ind. - -
A pair of sophomores -
Sara Simnitch and Caitlin Steele shot rounds of 88 to lead the
Madonna women's golf team to a second place finish at the first WHAC Jamboree of
the season at the Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville, Ind. MU finished just
four strokes behind Indiana Tech on the Warriors' home course.
"I think
we are vastly improved from previous seasons," said head coach Scott
Marzolino following the round. "We still have a lot of work to do, but the
season outlook is bright."
The
Crusaders return to action one week from today when they travel to the Golf Club
at Thornapple Pointe in Grand Rapids for WHAC Jamboree Two, hosted by Davenport.
