Steve South
carded a one-over par 72 to tie for medalist honors at the second WHAC Jamboree
of the season on Tuesday at The Golf Club at Thornapple Point in Grand Rapids.
As a team MU was second, behind Davenport as the Panthers turned in a round of
298 to the Crusaders' 306.
The win
marks the second straight for South, an all-conference pick in 2007. Fellow
junior Brett Quitiquit was fourth with a round of 75 while a third
junior, Kyle Lawrey was ninth with his round of 77.
MU returns
to the course one week from Friday, Sept. 26 for WHAC Jamboree three, hosted by
Concordia at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton.
