LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Madonna men's golf team wrapped up day two of the 2008 Bellarmine Intercollegiate by shooting an identical score of 320 as it did on Monday to place sixth at the event contested at Persimmon Ridge GC in Louisville, Ky. Jono McMahon (Windsor, Ont.) led MU, placing 10th individually with rounds of 79 and 76 over the 36-hole event.

McMahon improved his card by three strokes from day one to day two while battling difficult course conditions during both rounds.

Sophomore Steve South (Livonia, Mich.) bettered his day one score by two strokes, shooting an 81 in the final round while newcomer Matt Talbot (Plymouth, Mich.) had the best improvement of any MU player - while tying for the best day one to day two improvement of any player in the field - shooing nine shots better, carding an 80 to wrap up his Madonna debut.

The event's host, Bellarmine won the tournament with a two day score of 603. The Crusaders are back in action this weekend at the Kenyon College Invite on March 29 and 30.
