Crusaders Finish Second at WHAC Jamboree #2

	Jon McMahon shot a 76 for Madonna on Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Madonna freshman Steve South (Westland, MI/Franklin HS) fired a 73 in his second collegiate event , tying for the top spot at the second WHAC Jamboree at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Grand Rapids on Wednesday afternoon.

As a team, the Madonna men's golf team finished second after carding a 307 and finishing only five shots behind Davenport (302).  With the second place finish, Madonna moves up to second place in the overall WHAC standings, trailing Davenport for the league lead by three points.

Junior golfer Jon McMahon (Windsor, Ontario/Massey HS) shot a 76 on the day and finished second for Madonna and tied for seventh overall.

Steve Robinson (Livonia, MI/Churchill HS) shot a 77 for the Crusaders.  Aaron Cheeman (Canton, MI/Salem HS), who posted Madonna's lowest score in the first WHAC Jamboree, shot an 81 on the day.

Justin Taurence (Wyandotte, MI/Roosevelt HS) and Matt Robinson (Livonia, MI/Churchill HS) also competed for Madonna, recording scores of 81 and 85 respectively.

The Crusaders are back on the links Saturday, September 16 at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian for the third WHAC Jamboree, hosted by Siena Heights University.
