Madonna head men's golf
coach Steve Mato has announced the signing
of local standouts Josh Brist (Westland,
Mich.) and Austin Stillman (Livonia,
Mich.) for the 2007-08 season.
"We are excited that both Josh and Austin have made the decision to attend
Madonna University," Mato said. "This is a great start to the recruiting
class for next season."
Brist prepped at Churchill High School in Livonia, Michigan. Mato
describes him as a very hard working individual.
"Josh has a very good golf swing with a great amount of potential," Mato said.
"I feel he will be a valuable contributor to the Madonna golf team in the near
future."
Stillman played high school golf at Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan.
He will join the Crusaders next season with a great deal of tournament
experience.
"Austin has a positive attitude in everything he does and this is reflected in
his golf game," Mato said. "He has an excellent short game and a very good
putter and has recently added some distance to his game."
Stillman and Brist will both enroll at Madonna University in the fall of 2007
and begin competing for the Crusaders next season.
