Aaron Cheesman finished 24th overall and helped the Madonna men's golf team to a
ninth place overall finish at the NAIA Region VIII Tournament.
Cheesman, who fired a tournament best 71 in round two, carded a 231 overall in
the three-round competition. He was also the only Crusader to compete in
the final championship round.
Overall, the Crusaders finished just outside of the top eight teams that
competed in the final round after combining for a total team score of 626.
Jono McMahon played consistently over two rounds with a 78 on each of the two-18
hole rounds for a total of 156.
Steve Robinson and Matt Robinson each tied with an overall score of 160 and
freshman Steve South rounded out the Crusaders scores after carding a 162
overall.
