The Madonna men's golf team won their second tournament title in
school history Tuesday at the Aquinas Spring Invitational, finishing one stroke
ahead of Spring Arbor.
Madonna's first tournament title came September 23, 2006 as first-year head

title at WHAC Jamboree #5, which was hosted by MU at Fellows Creek Golf Course
in Canton.
The Crusaders were again led by freshman
Steve South
(Westland, Mich./Franklin HS) who finished tied for second place with
a four-over-par 76.
Spring Arbor's Kris Bradshaw edged South and two other second-place finishers
with a two-over-par 74 to claim the individual championship.
Junior
Aaron Cheesman
(Canton, Mich./Salem HS) tied for seventh place overall after carding a
six-over 78 and junior
Jono McMahon
(Windsor, Ontario/Massey HS) turned in a seven-over-par 79 to tie for
ninth place.
Senior
Steve Robinson
(Livonia, Mich./Churchill HS) carded and eight-over-par 80 and
freshman
Justin Taurence
(Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt HS) rounded out the Crusaders efforts
after turning in an 89 on his scorecard.
Madonna will try to win back-to-back tournament titles for the first time in
school history at the Spring Arbor Invitational at Arbor Hills Golf Course
