TEAM RESULTS
ANGOLA, Ind.

The Madonna men's golf team earned a sixth-place finish at the
Gettig Invitational Saturday in Angola, Indiana.
Steve South
(Westland, Mich./Franklin HS) carded a team best 151 in the two-day
event, including a tournament best 73 on the second day, and tied for 11th
overall in the individual results.
Bethel (IN) College took home the team title after combining for a tournament
best 756. Eric Lebold of Bethel took home the individual title after
shooting 71 on day one and 74 on day two for a 145 overall.
Steve Robinson
(Livonia, Mich./Churchill HS) finished in 27th place after shooting a
159 overall, including a 78 to open the tournament.
Aaron Cheesman
(Canton, Mich./Salem HS) and
Justin Taurence
(Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt HS) each turned in performances of 161
to tie for 30th place.
Jono McMahon
(Windsor, Ontario/Massey HS) shot an 80 on the first day, but fell
ill before teeing off for day two, which allowed
Matt Robinson
(Livonia, Mich./Churchill HS) to shoot a 77 in place of McMahon on
day two.
Madonna will return to the links on Monday, April 16 at the Malone College
Invitational.
