HOWARD, Ohio
-- The Madonna men's golf team returned to the links over the weekend and placed
third out of seven teams at the Kenyon College Invitational at Apple Valley Golf
Course in Howard, Ohio.
Wittenberg (OH) took home the team title and Wittenberg's Andrew Flint won the
individual trophy after carding a two-day total of 155.
The Crusaders finished 19 shots behind second place College of Wooster (OH) and
26 shots behind Wittenberg.
Steve South
(Westland, Mich./Franklin HS) carded a 161 during the two-day event to
finish in ninth place.
Steve Robinson
(Livonia, Mich./Churchill HS) recorded a tournament best 75 on the second
day of the tournament. Robinson finished in 12th place with a 163 overall.
Justin Taurence
(Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt HS) and
Tom Voyer
(Ortonville, Mich./Brandon HS) tied for a 17th place finish after each
shot 167 during the tournament.
The Crusaders will return to the links on April 7, at the Siena Heights
Invitational at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
