Joe Horka
(Westland, MI/Livonia Churchill HS) finished in second place out
of 130 runners at the Lansing Invitational on Saturday.
Horka paced the Crusaders with a personal best 26:16 finish, which was
also only five seconds behind first place.
Charles Wolfe
(Canton, MI/Canton HS) posted a 42nd place finish after
crossing the line at the 27:58 mark.
Junior
Kirstian Tyler
(Livonia, MI/Franklin HS) paced the women's team with a 33rd
place finish in the 5K event.
Kaitlyn Carbary
(Fenton, MI/Fenton HS) and
Amanda Weaver
(Livonia, MI/Home School) also competed for MU, finishing in 50th
and 113th places respectively.
The Crusaders will return to action on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Michigan
Intercollegiate Championships at Ferris State University in Big Rapids
at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
