The
Madonna men's and women's cross country teams ran their third meet of
the season, this time at the Bulldog Invitational on the campus of
Ferris State University on Friday afternoon.
Joe Horka
(Westland, MI/Livonia Churchill HS) paced the men's team with a
12th place finish, crossing the finishing line at 26:57, just 33 seconds
behind the winner of the race.
Charles Wolfe
(Canton, MI/Canton HS) finished in 29th place for the men after
running the 8,000 meter event in 27:47.
On the women's side,
Kirstian Tyler
(Livonia, MI/Stevenson HS) led the way finishing the 5,000 meter
race in 37th place after crossing the line at the 20:49 mark.
Kaitlyn Carbary
(Fenton, MI/Fenton HS) earned a 42nd place finish running the
event in 21:12.
Amanda Weaver
(Livonia, MI/Home School) also competed for the Crusaders, running a
26:01 and finishing in 74th place.
The Crusaders will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the
Lansing Invitational at 12:00 p.m. (ET).
