Ladywood's Bambach Signs For 2008
Livonia native is first signee for next season

LIVONIA, Mich.
-- Head cross country coach Patrick Daugherty announced today that he has signed
Emily Bambach (Livonia, Mich./Ladywood HS) to a letter of intent. Bambach,
a Livonia Ladywood product, is the first signee for Daugherty for the upcoming
2008 season.
"Emily will be a great
addition to our program this fall," said Daugherty after the signing. "She is an
outstanding student-athlete and will certainly help us in our quest to capture a
conference title."
Bambach has earned four
letters in cross country at Ladywood in addition to three more on the track. She
helped the Blazers to a pair of state finals appearances in cross country as a
sophomore and junior and another in track as s sophomore.
As a sophomore, Bambach was
named the cross country team's most improved runner after being named
all-Catholic and followed that up by being selected as a scholar-athlete on the
track. She picked up a second all-Catholic nod as well as the Athletic
Director's award and another scholar athlete award as a junior.
Bambach plans to study
forensic science at Madonna.
