Five MU baseball players were honored today by the NAIA for their work on and
off the field as members of the 2007 NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete team.
Seniors
Gary VanAllen and Mike Hand joined juniors John McCracken,
Andy Wojcik and Mike Cauzillo on the squad that honors juniors and seniors with a 3.50 cumulative GPA
or above.
The
accolades are the latest in a line of honors bestowed upon individual members of
the MU team that advanced to the NAIA Region VIII championship game, losing to
Spring Arbor. The squad posted a 34-20 overall record and second place
finish in the WHAC regular season and were the tournament runner-up as well.
