Five Named to All-American Scholar Athlete Team
Crusaders lauded for work on and off the diamond

MU junior John McCracken was one of five Crusaders named to the 2007 NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete team.

OLATHE, Kan. Five MU baseball players were honored today by the NAIA for their work on and off the field as members of the 2007 NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete team.

Seniors Gary VanAllen and Mike Hand joined juniors John McCracken, Andy Wojcik and Mike Cauzillo on the squad that honors juniors and seniors with a 3.50 cumulative GPA or above.

The accolades are the latest in a line of honors bestowed upon individual members of the MU team that advanced to the NAIA Region VIII championship game, losing to Spring Arbor.  The squad posted a 34-20 overall record and second place finish in the WHAC regular season and were the tournament runner-up as well.
