BOX SCORE

FORT WAYNE, Ind.
The Madonna baseball team saw a chance at the WHAC tournament title slip through their legs, literally, committing three errors in the top of the ninth inning to help Indiana Tech come from behind for a 4-3 win Friday afternoon.

Madonna carried a 2-0 lead throughout the game, only to see the Warriors come back off reliever John McCracken for four unearned runs in the top of the ninth to take a 4-2 lead.

Madonna came back to score once in the bottom of the ninth and stranded the potential tying runner on third when Manny Alvarado struck out to end the game.

The Crusaders and Warriors will represent Madonna in the NAIA Region VIII tournament next week in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The four team, three-day tournament kicks off Wednesday.  Team seeding and game times will be released Monday.
