McCracken Named WHAC Pitcher of the Week

posted a pair of wins against Aquinas and Indiana Tech

– The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced
that
John McCracken
(Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney HS) was named pitcher of the week after posting a
2-0 record in two relief appearances.
McCracken hurled a total of seven innings during the week, allowing just two
hits and an unearned run, while striking out six batters.
The 6-2 two-way player shut down Aquinas in two innings of work, fanning one as
the Crusaders won 6-4.
McCracken followed that act up by pitching five innings of relief against league
leading Indiana Tech and yielding only two hits and an unearned run, while
striking out five batters as MU pulled off a 4-3 win in 10 innings.
McCracken also proved to be hero at the plate for Madonna against Indiana Tech
with an RBI single in the 10th inning, which plated what proved to be the
winning run.
The Crusaders, who are 19-14 overall and posted a 5-3 record during the week,
will return to action Tuesday, April 17 at Northwood.
