The Madonna women's golf team recorded their fifth consecutive top 10
finish as the Crusaders finished 10th at the Siena Heights Invitational
in Adrian on Saturday.
Freshman
Ashley Laws
(Wayne, Mich./Wayne Memorial HS) and senior captain
Lisa Rodriguez
(Farmington Hills, Mich./Mercy HS) paced the Crusaders with each
carding scores of 102 on the day.
Sophomore
Danielle Elswick
(Westland, Mich./Wayne Memorial HS) fired a 103 and senior
Kassi Jacob
(Gaylord, Mich./St. Mary HS) rounded out the Crusaders scoring
with a 106.
"We hope that we can build from the momentum we have created this fall
and carry it right into the spring season," said head coach Scott
Marzolino. "It's great for this program to be carrying this kind
of success into the spring and towards the regional tournament in
April."
Coach Marzolino and his team will prepare for their spring schedule,
which will be released shortly. The NAIA Region VIII tournament
will be the highlight of the spring season on April 20-21 in South Bend,
Indiana at the Blackthorn Golf Club.
