Transfer Student Information to Madonna University from Washtenaw Community College

Students transferring to Madonna University from two-year institutions must provide evidence that they are in good academic and personal standing at their previous college(s). For admission and scholarship consideration, all credits and honor points will be averaged to determine a transfer GPA. Credits and GPAs will be listed on the Transfer Credit Evaluation Form along with a notation of the actual number of hours accepted by Madonna University. Only those courses completed at regionally accredited institutions with a grade of C (2.0) or better will be considered for transfer credit. Grades are not transferable.

Transfer students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree at Madonna University must complete the requirements for General Education, the desired major, and a minimum of 120 semester hours. The last 30 semester hours, including electives, must be completed at Madonna University.

The University will consider accepting credits from degree-granting institutions listed in Accredited Institutions of Higher Learning published by the American Council on Education. The University will accept a maximum of 74 semester hours from accredited two-year institutions. All requests for adjustments, additions, and corrections to the Transfer Credit Evaluation Form must be submitted in writing to the Registration Office within the term following the student's admission to the University. A form for this purpose is available in the Registration office.

Elementary Education Certification students should take NSC 3730 Science Foundations I and NSC 3740 Science Foundations II at Madonna University because there are no equivalent science courses at the two year colleges. To obtain transfer guides for Elementary or Secondary certification, call (734) 432-5655.
